"3X3" is a series (so far of two albums, but there are more to come.) of three-way splits between three bands, which holds some connection, a point of comparison, between one another.

Noise

Just under 19 minutes, this album is the collaboration between .Cut, Maggot breeder (Who together have already collaborated in other albums) and the global pandemic named Kenji Siratori. In this time, the three goes into stellar shriek of agony, expanding its razor edges rapidly and mercilessly.
 

The minimalist cover art for this CD shows verdant foliage reflected in a river or stream. It’s a dreamy, almost psychedelic image which hints both at gleaming beauty and subtle darkness. As such, it is the perfect companion for the music contained within.

Its interesting that the famous German Anarch-Electronic rebel M. Nickels Aka 100Blumen has issued an album with a revolutionary title implication such as this just after a bunch of apparently more pacific titles

This is deadly serious and efficiently addictive European thrash-dance ambient brutality.

“Dark Messiah” is the debut cd from Rzeszow, Poland’s 11 Storm Unit.  Since 2005, the band has been creating hellish ambient and industrial atmospheres.

At least there is a concept behind the whole thing, they are trying to draw attention to a lamentable social phenomenon, to the decline of western civilization, to a ruthless consumerist life style that regurgitates problems and spits back unusable solutions, conform or perish. Very well with all this, too bad both of the tracks consist of nothing more but unalterable, relatively high levels of noise and the necessary electronic screeching in the background. It goes on and on like this, on track 1 as well as track 2, and after several minutes have passed one cannot help but begin to wonder why it keeps going on at all. No difference, no variation, no mercy really.

Harsh Noise / Electronics

The ticking clock rhythmically meters mildly sinistral beats before shrivelled noise, flotsam from a place without time, pressing as distorted vocal residue intrudes. Muffled bells chime and plump beats, stuffed in a cellar, ooze underneath as volume spreads poring twisted unintelligible poetry that squeals in feedback down gnarled stairs.

Music and the occult have always been closely associated, either in the positive sense of creating appropriate atmospheres for the effective enactment of ritual, or negatively, like the scare that certain uninformed busybodies promulgated some years back, to wit, that if you play certain records backwards then you’ll hear all kinds of hidden messages to either kill yourself or praise Satan.

Thelemic/Occult Ambient/Ritual Ambient

A repeating guitar line accompanied by noises, atmospheres and sounds are broken by voice and words. The composition recalls a certain ritual feeling to it, in the most visceral description of the word. A chorus created by phrases that are underlined and presented by one beat of percussion. It is as if the tranquility of sound is recalled by the voice to create an 'in crescendo', to change its preconceived rhythm, grow, metamorphose into something darker and wilder.
