The brilliant new album from In Ruin, "A Ghost To Be Forgotten" on Heidenvolk with distribution
through Tesco includes 11 tracks of darkly emotional neofolk music.
Three years in the making, "A Ghost To Be Forgotten" is the first proper release from the band
following the re-release of their first demo by Bunkier Productions in 2004.
The album is broader and more progressive than previous works, in instrumentation and scope.
It brings dark and melodic neofolk tracks with acoustic guitar and cello as well as some more
forceful tracks enriched by electric guitar parts, bass play, and driving percussion. Above all
there is the beautiful and stirring voice of Terry Collia.
The album features guest appearances by Kim Larsen (OTWATM), Henryk Vogel (Darkwood),
Isaac Aubrey (The Arid Sea), and a collaboration with the Swedish group Catonium.
The CD is delivered in a beautiful black-and-white digipack.

Das neue In Ruin Studioalbum "A Ghost To Be Forgotten" enthält 11 Stücke wunderschöner dunkler Neofolk-Musik. Dieses Meisterwerk entstand in dreijähriger Studioarbeit als nunmehr drittes Album nach einer Wiederveröffentlichung von "Seeds of the Past" auf Bunkier Productions. Dieses Album ist wesentlich gereifter und ausgewogener instrumentiert als seine Vorgänger und enthält sowohl minimalistische Neofolkstücke mit Akustikgitarre und Cello als auch kraftvollere Stücke unter Einsatz von E-Gitarre, Baß und treibendem Schlagwerk. Über allem thront die wunderschöne und berührende Stimme Terry Collias.
An der musikalischen Fertigstellung haben Kim Larsen (OTWATM), Henryk Vogel (Darkwood),
Isaac Aubrey (The Arid Sea) und das schwedische Projekt Catonium mitgewirkt.
