So here's the problem. I take any record that has a pot leaf anywhere on it with a grain of salt. In all seriousness, if a band is retarded enough to follow this cliche little drug and put it on their album, I lose a great deal of respect for them immediately because it destroys any sense of seriousness in my mind. I'm not one to give a shit about joke bands, so "funny" music means absolutely nothing to me. So here is the problem that I have arrived at. This general rule of thumb doesn't work here. The band may have some silly titles, but the music is absolutely incredible. So as usual, you can't judge a goddamn book by its cover, which is a shame because I was so ready to flame the fuck out of this band. Looks like you're gonna get a good review guys.

The interesting thing about this album is that the band has taken the liberty of splitting it into three section based on their band alias. Total section being the heavy distorted tunes, Fucking being the Acoustic section, and Destruction being chalk full of live video goodness! The entire album is a cross between Thrash Metal, Grindcore, and Hardcore influences. Hell, the band is currently touring with Brutal Truth of all fucking people if that tells you anything. The music on the Total side is brutal as hell. Total Fucking Destruction is exactly right, as the band grooves their way with sledgehammers and flamethrowers through crowded streets. This is a band that knows how to crunch their distortion, and crunch they do! The coolest aspect of their music is their ability to make killer opening thrash riffs like the one found at the very beginning of Mad Pig Disease. Speed is in no lacking fashion here, as they blow through the opposition continuously destroying any living creature stuck in their path. Literally, for the first 10 tracks of this album, Total Fucking Destruction is nothing less than a goddamn natural disaster. It tears through anything and everything killing and brutalizing without remorse or emotion, but somehow manages to retain all the beauty and complexity of other parts of nature. This is their story.

The acoustic side is... well. Interesting. The opening track Bio-satanic Terroristic Attack is jazzy as hell and I suppose this is where the psychedelic atmosphere takes affect as it reminds me of a jazz lounge filled with green smoke. You can take a guess as to why the smoke is that color. The music is again, though, immensely talented and its hard to get past the fact that these assholes are potheads (if indeed that assumption can be made correctly). I guess music talent is blessed to specific people regardless of their drug habits. All tracks on this part of the album feature jazzy, laid back atmospheric and experimental acoustic tracks. The image I can get in my mind about this is a bunch of musician dorm kids reaaaaally fucked up on some...substance....and jamming out about nothing at all.

The Live video set is from a venue called Hazel's, and opens just like an old school horror movie, credits and all, in black and white. Really, this has been one of the more interesting experiences in my time as a journalist. It's also incredibly fun to see these acoustic tracks performed in the heavy essence live. The entire gig is played in a shitty little venue that looks probably like a damn basement somewhere. There's red cloth hanged on the wall for a backdrop and Christmas lights all around. The drummer only plays a two-piece (snare + bass), with a ride, rash, and hi-hat. How my punk friends ever loved this, I'll never know, but its definitely effective for their style of grindcore influenced thrash. The quality is fairly good on the video side, though just one camera angle shot with a hand-held camera. The music itself is very clear and audible, except for the vocals. Oh, and these 8 tracks? Clock in at a mere 10:16. Someone please get these guys on tour with Birdflesh! Great album you dirty pothead shitbags. Keep making fantastic music!
