SUNDAY MARCH 27 @ 9PM
Tesco USA presents a night of Dark Folk and Experimental delights:

BLOOD AXIS
Blood Axis is the brainchild of author, publisher, and provocateur
Michael Moynihan.  At the core of the music is a distinctive pagan
folk spirit.  Violin, accordion, and live percussion are joined by
electric guitar and bass bringing it into the modern age.  In 1998,
Moynihan wrote the definitive investigative book on the Black Metal
scene, "Lords of Chaos."  His uncompromising attitude and interest in
taboo subject matter has led to prejudice and misinterpretation, but
the actual words and music outlast any minor controversy.
A semi-recent interview appears at:

CHANGES
Robert N. Taylor and Nicholas Tesluk began making music in 1969, but
it wasn't until nearly three decades later that it was to find its
true niche in what today is called "apocalyptic folk" or "neofolk."
In 1994, Michael Moynihan heard some of the old tapes the group had
made and asked to release them as an album. Its success prompted the
band to continue their seminal sound.  Powerful, reflective baritone
and expertly picked acoustic guitars weave enchanting odes to
northern mysteries and times long past.

DREAM INTO DUST
Dream Into Dust is the band of New York-based musician and visual
artist Derek Rush.  His most frequent collaborator is experimental
guitarist Bryin Dall, with whom Rush has worked in many projects such
as Thee Majesty (along with Genesis P-Orridge). Dream into Dust's
recorded output defies pigeonholing, but live they can be described
as a blend of neofolk, industrial, and experimental noise-pop.  Bass,
keyboards, and electronics round out Rush's plaintive tenor vocals
and bruised acoustic guitar, painting visions of beauty and
desolation.
